Sri Lankan delegation at Seafood Expo Gobal

On Tuesday the 6th of May, Monique De Decker-Deprez, honorary consul of Sri Lanka, Gerard van Os, president of Belgolux Sri Lanka Business Council, and H.E. P. M. Amza, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Belgium, made a visit to Seafood Expo Global in Brussels to wish an excellent show to the Sri Lankan delegation.

Global Seafood Expo celebrated its 22nd edition this year with 1,690 exhibitors and about 26,000 visitors for the three day exhibition at Brussels Expo. The Economic Development Board of Sri Lanka participates already for the tenth year in a row and had gathered for this edition five leading fish exporters from Sri Lanka.

As an official opening, the Sri Lankan delegation held a traditional candles ceremony to wish a good show to all. His Excellence P. M. Amza, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, initiated the ceremony, quickly followed by the rest of the delegation.
